Clay Bears Spread Joy at Summer Camps

Updated: Aug 12

Clay Bear goes to Summer Camp

Clay Bears Went to Camp! Thank You for Making It Possible.

This summer, for the second year in a row, Clay Bears brought comfort and joy to children facing cancer.

Thanks to your generosity, we delivered bears to campers at Camp Sunrise and Camp Fantastic, two incredible camps that offer children undergoing treatment a chance to just be kids, surrounded by nature, fun, and a community that understands.

Last year, with your support, Clay Bears made their way to patients at Children’s National Hospital. This year, we brought those same smiles to summer camp. Campers each received a Clay Bear, a soft, comforting companion they could take with them throughout their camp adventures and beyond.

The Clay Bear program was created in memory of Clay Derderian and for kids like him who are courageously battling brain tumors. Clay knew the comfort a stuffed animal could bring during hard times. Whether it was wearing a tiny head wrap or getting its own Band-Aid, Clay’s bear was always by his side and sometimes, treated right alongside him.

This “Clay Bear” program from Imagine An Answer to Kids’ Brain Cancer is for Clay Derderian, and kids like him who are fighting a brain tumor.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Though this year’s Clay Bear deliveries have come to a close, your support is still needed. Donations made now will go toward research and programs supporting children with brain cancer. Every gift makes a difference in the lives of these brave kids and their families.
