Our Challenge

BRAIN TUMORS

are the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children

1/3

of children's brain tumors are pediatric low-grade gliomas (PLGG)

50%

of PLGGS will experience PFS* if there is residual tumor following surgery

In 2020, the US government allocated more than $6B towards cancer research. In 2021, only 1.2% of those funds went towards pediatric cancer research, and only 9% of those funds went towards brain cancer research.  To help us continue driving pediatric brain cancer research forward, consider becoming a donor.

Let's Help Small Children Climb Large Mountains

Misty Mountain

1

No drug to treat pediatric brain cancer has been developed for decades. Pediatric patients have to rely on treatments meant for adults and can be severely toxic for children.

2

In 2020 the federal government spent $6 billion on cancer research. Only 1.2% of those funds went towards pediatric cancer research.

3

Pilocytic Astrocytomas (PA's) affect more than 20,000 children across the United States.

Let's Keep Climbing

These kids are fighting every day to be kids. Not amazing, not brave, not special...just kids.  No child "wants" to have to be brave or amazing or special at this young age.  They want to be kids.  Let's let them be kids. Let's find a cure.
